Those of you used to monthly photo albums of Emily on Snapfish have probably noticed that not much has been happening there of late. That is because we have been without a digital camera since a certain party in the family made a trip to Salt Lake City from which the camera did not return. Have no fear, we have now purchased a much-improved replacement - a Canon Powershot SD850. Soon the deluge of photos will resume. In the meantime, Melinda has been recording Emily a lot on video, but I really don't have the time or inclination to pull that over to the computer, edit, and upload it, so you'll have to wait a while for that.

Like father...

We have one of those alarm clock things that you can plug an ipod into that we use to play soothing music for Emily when she's getting ready to go to sleep. The other night, the alarm somehow got turned on and went off at the default time (since we never set it) of midnight. I was downstairs and had the TV on, and it took me a while to figure out what the noise was. Is it coming from the TV? No, it sounds like it's upstairs...etc. By the time I ran up and got it turned off, it had to have been going off for a couple of minutes. Despite that, and me running in and fumbling around with the clock, Emily never woke up. In fact, I could hear her regular breathing the whole time I was in there, even when the alarm was going off, completely uninterrupted. Just like Dad! Maybe she will grow up to be able to sleep through a burglar alarm going off in her house that wakes up the neighbors across the street like I did when I was in high school.

Money, Money, Money

Sadly hilarious commentary from Trump on what it takes to be rich like him.

First, take the quiz.

Then read the insightful commentary.

Some of the questions are actually ok. However, some of the questions/Trump's recommended answers are so wrong that life wouldn't be worth living if I answered those questions the way he thinks is best. Here I refer especially to #3, #13, and #15

The funniest thing is that it doesn't take long to think of numerous cases of extremely wealthy individuals who don't follow these guidelines at all.
